The winners have been announced from one of the biggest award events on Merseyside’s calendar – with one business in the spotlight for being the most creative in the county.
The Guide Liverpool stole the show at the Merseyside Independent Business Awards taking the award for Best Creative Business, which we were proud to sponsor.
The Guide Liverpool wowed judges with its ‘What’s On’ platform, which keeps residents and tourists up to date on what is happening in the city and their work to promote other businesses through their promotional videos and tailored campaigns.
Jay Hynd, director at The Guide in Liverpool, said: “The MIB Awards offer a fantastic platform for local independent businesses like ours.
“To be shortlisted amongst some of the finest independents in the city was fantastic in itself, then to be in the same room as the region’s best on the night was incredible. So, you can imagine our delight when we were crowned overall winners of the award. Our feet haven’t touched the ground since winning, and the reaction from the city has been outstanding, which just shows the respect the business community has for the MIB Awards.
“We can’t wait to see what the 2020 awards have in store. Our thanks to Forresters for sponsoring the Best Creative Business award, and to Morecrofts who bring us the event every year.”
The seventh annual Merseyside Independent Business Awards took place earlier this month at the Titanic Hotel Liverpool. The awards were founded by Morecrofts Solicitors in 2013 to celebrate its 200th year in business. Based in Liverpool, Wirral, Sefton and Knowsley they work closely with a number of Merseyside businesses and cover many areas of law from family law and property legal advice to employment and HR.
Alison Lobb, managing partner at Morecrofts, said: “Forresters has been on board as a sponsor of the Merseyside Independent Business Awards for three years now, and they are a key part of what we deliver. The advice and support Forresters deliver to independent businesses in Merseyside is so crucial to success, and that’s what we celebrate at the MIB Awards.
Ross Walker, partner in our Liverpool office, said they were proud to be involved in such a spectacular event. “The awards night was a huge success and it was great to see so many businesses turning out to support each other, and celebrate their many successes. At Forresters, we work with so many innovative people who know the importance of protecting their creative ideas and inventions. The Guide Liverpool reaches more than two million people across Liverpool through their website. They also work with businesses to support them through their high-quality promotional videos and a range of innovative and tailored campaigns.
“We have been proud to support the Best Creative Business category at the Merseyside Business Awards and we congratulate The Guide Liverpool on being very worthy winners.”
