Investors, Entrepreneurs & Professionals

Not all of our clients have IP rights of their own; many people and entities for whom we work instead act as advisors or backers for projects where IP comes into play – and we are always ready to help.  With investors, a key issue can be to ensure that a target’s IP is sufficiently robust to ward off competition, and we often get involved with due diligence processes, company buyouts, rescue packages and the like.  Similarly, with entrepreneurs, we can help to check third party rights, assist with investment pitches, carry out IP audits and conduct courtesy reviews.  We are also always pleased to make introductions across our client base, where we see synergies or prospects with new ventures.

Our fellow professionals in other sectors are also extremely important to us.  We work very hard to build relationships (and conduct reciprocal business) with a wide range of advisors, including solicitors, accountants, financial experts, and insurers, and also private equity houses, PR and design agencies, and business ‘angels’.  Our UK contacts of this type are not only based in the big cities – we are especially keen to develop relationships across the wider regions, where a significant amount of business, innovation and manufacturing continues to flourish.
