Sponsorship of Start-Up Business Award

Posted:

We are delighted to announce that we are sponsoring the Start-Up Business category at the Black Country Chamber Awards 2020 – which this year is focussing on those companies and professionals that are going the extra mile to help during the pandemic. By sponsoring this award we are showing our support for new companies that are weathering the storm during the Covid-19 crisis.

The Start-Up Business Award is for those new companies that have adapted and introduced creative strategies to cope with the rapidly changing trading environment. It will focus on those that played a role in supporting vulnerable members of the community or demonstrated their resilience in the face of new pressures, demands or challenges.

Partner Emma Johnson expressed how delighted the firm is to be sponsoring the Start-Up Business Award. “We believe there hasn’t been a better time to focus on the successes of local businesses,” she said. “Running a new business comes with a wide range of challenges, but this year has been particularly hard. That’s why it is fantastic to see so many businesses that haven’t just survived – they have become stronger by inventing, creating and diversifying”.

“At Forresters we work with businesses that develop innovative ideas that can be seen to have made a difference. During the pandemic many companies were forced to close, but there were others that changed operations to help in the fight against the virus. Now is the time to look around the business community and say thank you to those who stepped up to the plate to help others”.

Due to government restrictions the awards will take place as a digital event on November 13th. Corin Crane, chief executive of the Black Country Chamber of Commerce, explained: “Our long-standing business awards are this year recognising those companies and individuals who have gone the extra mile to help with the coronavirus crisis. The awards celebrate the range and breadth of outstanding contributions made by our Black Country Heroes, and we are extremely grateful to local businesses such as Forresters, for showing their support of these endeavours through their category sponsorship”.
